Anti-Money Laundering Counter Financing of Terrorism
Supreme Ventures Fintech Limited (SVFL) is required to comply with applicable Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Counter Financing of Terrorism (CFT) legislations and regulations. Consequently, SVFL has implemented policies and procedures consistent with the Proceeds of Crime Act (2007), Proceeds of Crime (Amendment) Act (2013), The Proceeds of Crime (Money Laundering) Regulations (2007), and all other applicable legislations. In accordance with these procedures, we require verification of:
- Identity – A valid government issued photo identification, for example, a Voter’s ID, Driver’s License, Passport.
- Nationality, Place of Birth, Residency/Domiciliate.
- Taxpayer Registration Number or any similar document such as Social Insurance Number, National Insurance Number, Social Security Number, or Tax Insurance Number).
Transaction Fees
All fees associated with the payout of money transfer transactions are paid by the sender of the related money transfer transaction.
Payout
SVFL shall only make payouts to receivers where funds regarding that transaction have already been received from the money transfer operator.
Money transfers will normally be paid in cash. In select instances, and at SVFL’s discretion, payments may be made by cheque, or a combination of cash and cheque. All cash payments are subject to availability, and receivers showing documentary evidence of their identity and providing relevant details about the money transfer required including Sender’s and Receiver’s names, country of origin, approximate expected sum, and any other conditions or requirements as applicable.
Liability
Unless prohibited by applicable law, your exclusive and maximum remedy against SVFL is limited to the transfer amount of the related money transfer transaction. No other remedy is available you, including, but not limited to any remedy for incidental, indirect, special or consequential damages. These limitations apply whether your claim arises due to SVFL’s negligence, other fault, error, omission, or non-performance. SVFL accepts no responsibility for the acts or omissions of the receiver of the related payout, service providers or their designees.
Right to Refuse to Transact
SVFL reserves the right to refuse to transact with any person, at its sole discretion, provided that such discretion will be exercised in a reasonable manner.
Governing Law
The terms and conditions contained herein, and any dispute or claim arising out of, or related to them, their subject matter, or their formation shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Jamaica.
